Graduate civil Engineer from the Catholic University of Louvain (Belgium) in 1988, Pierre Gilles developed his work experience for 7 years in the Laboratory of the Civil engineering of the catholic University of Louvain, in the Federation of the cementery Industry (FEBELCEM) - 1 year, in the Division of Waterways of Mons of the Public Service of Wallonia - 2 years and for 14 years in the Bridge Assessment Division of the Public Service of Wallonia the direction of which he assumed.
Since 1/1/2012, he is general inspector of the Department of Structural and Geotechnical Expertise of the Public Service of Wallonia in charge of geotechnical, road and bridge expertise for the road and waterways network in Wallonia.
Numerous publications in magazines and during conferences in Belgium and abroad.
Groupe leader of PIARC Road bridges technical committee since 2012.
Invited lecturer at Catholic University of Louvain (Belgium).
Scientific collaborator at Liège University (Belgium).
